溫後累當講任。稟味之賓，填委相屬，精勤導物，數感神異。帝悅之，賜錢五十萬。時人為之語曰：「帝主傾財，溫公率則。上天懷感，神靈降德。」宋太始初卒，春秋六十有九。

Daowen later repeatedly took up the duty of lecturing. Guests who came to receive the flavor [of the Dharma] followed one upon another in dense succession. He was diligent and zealous in guiding living beings, repeatedly evoking divine and extraordinary responses. The Emperor was delighted and bestowed upon him five hundred thousand cash. People of the time had a saying about it: "The sovereign emptied his treasury; Master Wen led by example. High Heaven harboured resonance; the spirits sent down their virtue." At the beginning of the Taishi era of the Song dynasty, he died at the age of sixty-nine.
