有記云：此竺佛調，譯出《法鏡經》及《十慧》等。案釋道安《經錄》云：漢靈帝光和中，有沙門嚴佛調，共安玄都尉譯出《法鏡經》及《十慧》等。語在〈譯經傳〉。而此中佛調迺東晉中代時人。見名字是同，便謂為一，謬矣。

A record states: 'This Zhu Fotiao translated the Fajing jing (Sūtra of the Mirror of the Dharma) and the Shi hui (Ten Wisdoms), etc.' According to Shi Dao'an's Scriptural Catalogue: 'During the Guanghe era of Emperor Ling of the Han, the śramaṇa Yan Fotiao, together with Commandant An Xuan, translated the Fajing jing and the Shi hui, etc., as related in the "Biographies of Translators".' Yet the Fotiao here was a person of the mid Eastern Jin. Seeing that the names are identical, they considered them to be one person, which is an error.
