When Yin obtained sūtras in the Western Regions, [Dharmarakṣa] immediately translated five texts for him: the Daśabhūmika-sūtra, the Jātaka, the Dharmasāgarakośa, the Buddhacarita, and the Sūtra of Forty-two Sections. Owing to the relocation of the capital and bandit uprisings, the originals of four texts were lost and not transmitted to the region east of the Yangtze River; only the Sūtra of Forty-two Sections is extant today, running to some two thousand words. Among the various sūtras surviving in the land of Han, this alone was the first. Yin also obtained in the Western Regions a painted seated image of Śākyamuni, which was the fourth work made by the master of King Udayana's sandalwood image. When they arrived in Luoyang, Emperor Ming immediately ordered artisans to copy it and placed [the copies] in the Qingliang Terrace and atop the Xianjie Tomb. The old image no longer survives today.
