27.16

沃洲山者，在天姥岑之陰，對天台華頂、赤城；北望四明，金庭、石鼓山介焉；西北有支遁嶺，養馬坡、放鶴岑次焉。晉、宋已來，茲山洞開。初有羅漢白道猷——言西域來——戾止是山。次竺法潛、支道林居焉。高人勝士，接踵而棲此中。至於戴逵、王羲之、郗超、孫綽、許詢遊憩其間矣！

Mount Wozhou lies to the north of Tianmu Peak, facing Mount Tiantai's Huading and Chicheng peaks; looking north toward Siming, Mount Jinting and Mount Shigu lie between them; to the northwest lies Zhidun Ridge, with Horse-Breeding Slope and Crane-Releasing Peak nearby. Since the Jin and Song dynasties, this mountain has been opened up. At first, the arhat Bai Daoyou—who was said to have come from the Western Regions—arrived and stayed on this mountain. Next, Zhu Faqian and Zhi Daolin lived here. Lofty men and eminent scholars dwelt here in close succession. Even Dai Kui, Wang Xizhi, Xi Chao, Sun Chuo, and Xu Xun roamed and rested among these peaks!
