27.33

樂普侍者謂和尚曰。肇法師制得四論甚奇怪。樂普曰。肇公甚奇怪要且不見祖師。侍者無對（法燈代云。和尚什麼處見。雲居錫云。什麼處是肇公不見祖師處。莫是有許多言語麼。又云。肇公有多少言語）。

The attendant of Lepu said to the upādhyāya, "Dharma Master Zhao composed four treatises that are extraordinarily marvelous." Lepu said, "Master Zhao was indeed extraordinarily marvelous, yet he never saw the ancestral master." The attendant had no reply. (Fadeng gave the substitution: "Where does the upādhyāya see him?" Yunju Xi said, "Where was the place where Master Zhao did not see the ancestral master? Could it be because he had so many words?" He also said, "How many words did Master Zhao have?")
