27.41

有道流在佛殿前背坐。僧曰。道士莫背佛。道流曰。大德本教中道。佛身充滿於法界。向什麼處坐得。僧無對（法眼代云。識得汝）。

A Daoist sat with his back to the Buddha in front of the Buddha hall. A monk said, "Daoist, do not turn your back to the Buddha." The Daoist said, "In your teaching, Venerable, it is said that the Buddha's body fills the Dharmadhātu. In which direction could one sit without turning one's back?" The monk had no reply. (Fayan gave the substitution: "I see through you.")
