僧問仰山。彎弓滿月齧鏃意如何。仰山曰。齧鏃。僧擬開口。仰山曰。開口驢年也不會。僧無對（南泉代側身而立）。

A monk asked Yangshan, "What is the meaning of drawing the bow to the full moon and biting the arrowhead?" Yangshan said, "Biting the arrowhead." The monk was about to open his mouth, but Yangshan said, "If you open your mouth, you will not understand even in the year of the donkey." The monk had no reply. (Nanquan gave the substitution of standing sideways.)
