僧辭趙州和尚。趙州謂曰。有佛處不得住無佛處急走過。三千里外逢人莫舉（法眼代云。恁麼即不去也）。
A monk took his leave of Upādhyāya Zhaozhou. Zhaozhou said to him, "Where there is a Buddha, do not stay; where there is no Buddha, hurry past. Three thousand miles away, when you meet someone, do not bring it up." (Fayan spoke in his place: "If so, then I shall not go.")
