澧州聖壽香積用旻禪師上堂。木馬衝開千騎路。鐵牛透過萬重關。木馬鐵牛即今在甚麼處。良久曰。驚起暮天沙上雁。海門斜去兩三行。

Chan Master Xiangji Yongmin of Shengshou in Lizhou ascended the hall: "The wooden horse charges open the path of a thousand riders; the iron ox breaks through the ten-thousand-fold pass. Right now, where are the wooden horse and the iron ox?" After a long pause, he said, "Startled from the sands of the evening sky, wild geese / Fly obliquely across the sea gate in two or three lines."
