17.33

潭州福嚴寘禪師東川人。上堂。福嚴山上雲。舒卷任朝昏。忽爾落平地。客來難討門。

Chan Master Zhi of Fuyan in Tanzhou was a native of Dongchuan. Ascending the hall, [he said]: / "The clouds atop Mount Fuyan / Unfurl and roll up at the morning and evening's whim. / Suddenly falling down to level ground, / When guests arrive, the gate is hard to find."
