黃州護國院。壽禪師。僧問。如何是一路涅槃門。師曰。寒松青有千年色。一徑風飄四季香。問如何是靈山一會。師曰。如來纔一顧迦葉使低眉。

Chan Master Shou of Huguo Monastery in Huangzhou. A monk asked, "What is the single path to the gate of nirvāṇa?" The Master said, "The cold pine's green has the color of a thousand years; / A single path's breeze flutters the fragrance of all four seasons." [A monk] asked, "What was the assembly on Gṛdhrakūṭa?" The Master said, "The Tathāgata merely gave a single glance, and Kāśyapa bowed his head."
