隆慶府雙嶺化禪師上堂。翠竹黃花非外境。白雲明月露全真。頭頭盡是吾家物。信手拈來不是塵。遂舉拂子曰。會麼。認著依前還不是。擊禪床下座。

Chan Master Hua of Shuangling in Longqing Prefecture ascended the hall: 'Emerald bamboo and yellow blossoms are not external realms; white clouds and the bright moon expose the complete reality. Everything, one and all, is our household goods; picking them up at will, nothing is dust.' He then held up his whisk and said: 'Do you understand? If you recognize it, just as before it is not it.' He struck the meditation seat and stepped down.
