23.12

邵州光孝曇清禪師上堂。殺父殺母佛前懺悔。殺佛殺祖不消懺悔。為甚麼不消懺悔。且得冤家解脫。

Chan Master Tanqing of Guangxiao in Shaozhou ascended the hall [and said], "Killing father and mother is repented before the Buddha; killing Buddha and patriarchs requires no repentance. Why does it require no repentance? For the time being, one gains release from enemies."
