6.13

懷安軍雲頂海鵬禪師。僧問。如何是大疑底人。師曰。畢鉢巖中面面相覷。曰如何是不疑底人。師曰。如是我聞須彌粉碎。問祖意教意是同是別。師曰。達磨逢梁武。摩騰遇漢明。

Chan Master Haipeng of Yunding in Huai'an Army. A monk asked, 'What is a person of great doubt like?' The Master said, 'Gazing at one another inside the Pippala Cave.' The monk said, 'What is a person of no doubt like?' The Master said, '"Thus have I heard"—Mount Sumeru is shattered to dust.'

The monk asked, 'Are the Patriarch's intent and the teachings' intent identical or different?' The Master said, 'Bodhidharma met Emperor Wu of Liang; / Mātaṅga met Emperor Ming of Han.'
