5.46

亦不覩惡而生嫌　亦不觀善而勤措
亦不捨愚而近賢　亦不拋迷而就悟
達大道兮過量　通佛心兮出度
不與凡聖同纏　超然名之曰祖

Neither looking upon evil to produce aversion,
Nor observing good to strive diligently at practice;
Neither abandoning the foolish to draw near the worthy,
Nor tossing aside delusion to approach awakening;
Reaching the Great Way beyond measure,
Penetrating the Buddha-mind beyond limits;
Not bound up together with ordinary mortals or sages—
Transcendent, this is termed a patriarch.
