Regarding the iron-ore miraculous image of Yuhua Palace in Fangzhou: when Emperor Wu of the Northern Zhou abolished the Dharma, there was a man named Jiang Ming who was supervising affairs and traveling by night. He repeatedly saw light upon the mountain. In the morning, he went to investigate and found a recumbent stone shaped like an image. He then chopped and dug around all four sides; it turned out to be iron ore that could not be damaged. Its whole body was three zhang long, and in the valley there was a pedestal. He and the villagers pried and lifted it; suddenly it slid down, heading straight for the pedestal's socket, and stood aloft with extraordinary prominence. They reported the situation in a memorial. At that time, Emperor Tianyuan had inherited the throne and changed the reign title to Daxiang. He decreed that the site be made Daxiang Temple and thereby revived the Buddhadharma. In the beginning of the Sui, it was renamed Xianji Temple.
