We respectfully pray that His Majesty the Emperor's supreme Dao may move together with the four seasons, and his mysterious wind spread universally with the eight directions. May he return to the pure source of the three antiquities, and discard the shallow waves of the nine dynasties. May the utmost governance already be seen today, and the great Dao once again belong to this era. May tigers and leopards be trodden on their tails without taking fright, and vipers and serpents be stepped on without biting. Burying gold and casting away jade, tearing contracts and burning documents. May auspicious grain grow and sweet springs well forth; may golden carts and jade horses naturally shine upon one another; may dark cranes and vermilion phoenixes fly, sing, and come and go. Wherever the light illuminates, and wherever boats and chariots speed and float, may all bend their knees, bind their necks, turn their heads, and reform their speech; entering to serve in the post stations and bowing in greeting at the Wei River. May he endure as long as heaven and earth, becoming firmer than metal and stone. The Central Peak may be shifted and the Long River may run clear, yet our Sage Emperor becomes ever warmer and ever more gleaming. Without words his transformation proceeds; without action his teaching is reverenced.
