夫小乘志劣事唯一己。大士意均乃包六趣。今日檀主。信等明珠。無勞傍鏡。質同珽玉。不待外光。常欲物我均心怨親等觀。眾等各歸誠。為二十八天四王釋梵人間貧病地獄辛楚。敬禮尊儀靈像菩提寶塔。云云。

Now, the aspirations of the Small Vehicle are inferior, concerning only oneself; the intention of the Great Being is impartial, encompassing the six destinies. Today's donor of alms has faith like a bright pearl, needing no side mirror; his substance is like jade tablets, requiring no external light. He constantly wishes to view self and others with an equal mind, and to regard foes and kin with parity. Let the assembly each turn their sincerity, on behalf of the twenty-eight heavens, the Four Heavenly Kings, Śakra, and Brahmā, as well as the poor and sick in the human realm and those suffering agony in the hells, to pay homage to the revered forms, spiritual images, and bodhi jewel-stupas, and so forth.
