17.70

徐州表云。舍利二月二十八日至州西一驛宿。其夜陰雨。舍利放光。向州四十五里。其淨道寺僧向北山看光。影從驛所舍利處而來。舍利石函蓋四月五日磨治訖。遂變出仙人二。僧四人。居士一人。騏驎一。師子一。魚二。自餘並似山水之狀。

The memorial from Xuzhou stated: On the twenty-eighth day of the second month, the relics arrived at a relay station west of the prefecture to lodge for the night. That night was cloudy and rainy; the relics emitted light extending forty-five li toward the prefecture. The monks of Jingdao Temple looked toward the northern mountain to view the light, whose shadow came from the place of the relics at the relay station. On the fifth day of the fourth month, when the polishing of the stone casket and lid for the relics was completed, there transformed and appeared two immortals, four monks, one lay devotee, one qilin, one lion, and two fish; all the rest resembled the forms of mountains and waters.
