The body organ is dull to touch, coveting only the fine and soft. Its physical substance is an obstruction of dust, not prizing halberds and spears. There is none who does not love the self and disparage others, domineering over people and looking down on things, letting loose this naked insect like an unbridled drunk elephant. The six dusts and four inversions arise from this; the five hindrances and ten fetters are brought about because of it. Therefore, ivory mats are cool and leisurely for wandering in summer rooms; heavy quilts of white fox-fur are warm and cozy in winter chambers. Teams of four horses in spacious mansions ensure ease in motion and rest; barge-prows and jade towers provide reliance for coming and going. Thus the faults of the three karmas emerge from the trigger being sprung; compounded by the four great elements, how could there be a true self? We vow to renounce this painted vase and attain that golden color, purifying the Dharma-adornment of precious jewels, illuminating the wisdom-body of lapis lazuli, permanently returning to the fivefold Dharmakāya and forever equaling the ten bodies.
