All the minute goods of all beings throughout the ten directions— / Benevolence, righteousness, propriety, and wisdom; / The virtues of filial devotion, modesty, and reverence; / Kindness, harmony, love, respect, / And upright, pure conduct— / If there are such goods, / I now rejoice in them all. / Householders free from desire / Who observe and cultivate the Tathāgata's precepts: / The three refuges, five and eight precepts, / The ten goods, and the bodhisattva precepts, / Pure in all moral codes / And far from evil reputation— / In all such merits, / I now rejoice in them all. / Offering meals to the Sangha, donating Dharma robes, / Bathing to cleanse defilements and impurities, / Rescuing and sustaining the poor, / Those hungry, cold, destitute, and blocked, / Relieving the suffering of illness and hardship / By bestowing medicine out of compassionate deed— / In all such merits, / I now rejoice in them all. / Digging good wells along wide roads, / Ferrying people and creatures with bridges and boats, / Gardens, groves, ponds, flowers, and fruits / Bestowed on the Buddha and offered to the Sangha, / Dispelling the burning vexation of thirst and exhaustion— / Such blessings are truly immeasurable— / In all such merits, / I now rejoice in them all. / Making scriptures to circulate the teachings of the Dharma, / Lighting lamps to manifest the brightness of wisdom, / Practicing, reciting, and chanting them, / Discerning and comprehending all meanings and doctrines; / If one further explains them for others, / Doubling one's joyful heart— / In all such merits, / I now rejoice in them all. / Erecting stupas and shrines, / Halls, chambers, and jeweled pillars, / Colored paintings and wooden images, / Gold, silver, copper, stone, and the like, / Depicting all the marks and signs / To reveal the Dharmakāya— / In all such merits, / I now rejoice in them all. / If there are those who build monasteries, / Couches, curtains, and bedding, / Allowing those who calm the mind / To settle their thoughts in the meditation grove, / Entering and exiting the gates of suffering and emptiness, / Progressing through the contemplation of tranquil extinction— / In all such merits, / I now rejoice in them all. / The Tathāgata's great kindness and compassion / Excellently explained all Dharma-gates, / Generating the practice of rejoicing, / Which we now cultivate and study. / Rejoicing in all the śrāvakas / Enduring suffering to cross over birth and death; / Rejoicing in all the bodhisattvas / Not abandoning experiences in the evil paths; / Rejoicing in the Buddhas of the ten directions, / Fearless Lords of Devas and Humans, / Who in the prison of the three realms / Lead forth all sentient beings. / May all kinds of sentient beings / Fully attain the Buddha Path. / Therefore I rejoice, / Bowing my head in reverent worship to all Buddhas.
