十七宋元嘉二年。劉式之造文殊金像。朝夕禮拜。頃之便失。惆悵祈請夙夜匪懈。經于五年。昏夕時見佛座有光發座至棟。式之因燒香拂拭床帳。乃見失像儼然具存。

Seventeenth, in the second year of the Yuanjia reign era of the Song, Liu Shizhi made a golden image of Mañjuśrī, worshipping it morning and evening. Before long, it was lost; full of sorrow, he prayed without slackening day or night. After five years, in the evening twilight, he saw light emanating from the Buddha's seat reaching to the roof beam. Shizhi therefore burned incense and wiped down the platform and curtains, whereupon he saw the lost image solemnly standing there intact.
