復有一餓鬼言。我丸極大如甕。行時擔著肩上。住則坐上進止患苦。何因故爾。目連答曰。汝前世時作市令。常以輕秤小斗與。重秤大斗取。常自欲得大利於己侵剋餘人。

Another hungry ghost said, "My testicles are huge like vats; when I walk, I must carry them on my shoulders, and when I stop, I sit upon them, suffering distress whether moving or staying still. Why is this?" Maudgalyāyana replied, "In your former life, you were a market magistrate. You always used light balances and small pecks to give, and heavy balances and large pecks to take, constantly seeking large profits for yourself while defrauding others."
