57.21

復有一鬼言。我癭丸極大如甕。行時擔著肩上。住則坐上。進止患苦。何因故爾。目連答言。汝前世時作市令。常以輕秤小斗與他。重秤大斗自取。常自欲得大利於己侵剋餘人。

Another ghost said: 'My scrotum is huge like a vat. When walking, I carry it upon my shoulder; when stopping, I sit upon it. Advancing or resting, it is an affliction of pain. For what reason is it so?' Maudgalyāyana replied: 'In your past life, you were a market overseer. You constantly gave to others using light steelyards and small bushels, while taking for yourself using heavy steelyards and large bushels. You always wished for great gain for yourself by encroaching upon and defrauding others.'
