琴高。趙人也。以鼓琴為康王舍人。行涓彭之術浮游冀州碭郡間二百餘年後復時入碭水中取龍子。與諸弟子。期曰。期日皆潔齋待於水傍設屋祠。果乘赤鯉魚出入坐祠中。碭中旦有萬人觀之。留一月復入水。

Qin Gao was a man of Zhao. Serving as a retainer to King Kang on account of his zither playing, he practiced the arts of Juanzi and Pengzu, drifting between Ji Province and Dang Commandery for more than two hundred years. Later, he occasionally entered the waters of Dang to capture young dragons. Making an appointment with his disciples, he said, "On the appointed day, all of you must purify yourselves and fast, waiting by the water and setting up a shrine." Sure enough, riding a red carp, he emerged, entered, and sat in the shrine. In the morning, ten thousand people in Dang came to view him. He stayed for a month and entered the water again.
