鼓山竹林寺名何代所出耶。答曰。是迦葉佛時造。周穆王於中更重造寺。穆王佛殿并及塑像。至今現存。山神從佛請五百羅漢住此寺中。即今現有二十聖僧繞寺。左側現有五萬五通神仙。供養此寺僧（餘事云云如前伽藍驗記）。

"In what period did the name of the Zhulin Temple on Mount Gu originate?" The answer was: "It was built in the time of Kāśyapa Buddha. King Mu of Zhou rebuilt the temple within it. King Mu's Buddha hall as well as the sculpted images still exist to this day. The mountain deity requested five hundred arhats from the Buddha to dwell in this temple. Right now, there are currently twenty holy monks circumambulating the temple. On the left side, there are currently fifty thousand divine transcendents endowed with the five superknowledges who provide offerings to the monks of this temple (the rest of the matters are as found in the previous 'Evidential Records of Saṃghārāmas')."
