問曰。若即業名道。皆能起地獄等者。何故餘三非是業道。答曰。如彼七業。此三能作彼根本故。以相應故。不能如彼業故。不名業道。

Question: If actions being named paths means they can all give rise to the hells and so forth, why are the remaining three not courses of action? Answer: Like those seven actions, these three can act as their root; because of association, and because they cannot be like those actions, they are not named courses of action.
