答曰。遠離飲酒等唯是心業。能起七業非身口業。是故非業道。若作與心相應亦是業道。
Answer: Abstaining from drinking alcohol and so forth is solely mental karma; it can give rise to the seven actions, but is not bodily or verbal karma; therefore it is not a course of action. If performed in association with the mind, it is also a course of action.
