爾時世尊告諸比丘。我留菩薩僧。合有八十億人不取涅槃。後惡世中護持聖教。各以通力化惡比丘令敬佛鉢。
At that time the World-Honoured One addressed the bhikṣus: 'I leave behind a Saṃgha of bodhisattvas, in all eighty billion persons, who will not take nirvāṇa. In the future evil age they will protect and uphold the holy teaching, each using supernatural powers to transform evil bhikṣus and make them revere the Buddha's bowl.'
