如十誦律云。云何漱口。佛言。以水著口中。三迴轉之。是名淨口法。
As the Daśabhāṇavāra-vinaya says: How does one rinse the mouth? The Buddha said: "Put water into the mouth and swish it around three times. This is called the method of purifying the mouth."
