又僧祇律云。然火向有七事無利益。一壞眼。二壞色。三身羸。四衣垢壞。五臥具壞。六生犯戒緣。七增世俗話。看病法者。僧祇律云。病人有九法成就。必當橫死。一知非饒益食貪食。二不知籌量。三內食未消而食。四食未消而擿吐出。五已消應出而強持。六食不隨病。七隨病食而不籌量。八懈怠。九無慧。

Furthermore, the Mahāsaṃghika Vinaya states: Lighting a fire and facing it has seven disadvantageous consequences: first, it damages the eyes; second, it ruins one's complexion; third, the body becomes emaciated; fourth, robes are soiled and damaged; fifth, bedding is ruined; sixth, it gives rise to conditions for violating precepts; seventh, it increases worldly talk. Regarding the rules for nursing the sick, the Mahāsaṃghika Vinaya states: When a patient is possessed of nine conditions, he will certainly suffer an untimely death: first, greedily eating food known to be unwholesome; second, not knowing how to measure food; third, eating before earlier food is digested; fourth, deliberately vomiting food before it is digested; fifth, forcefully holding back what is digested and should be excreted; sixth, food not being suited to the illness; seventh, eating food suited to the illness without measuring moderation; eighth, indolence; ninth, lack of wisdom.
