又僧祇律云。然火向有七事無利益。一壞眼。二壞色。三身羸。四衣垢壞。五臥具壞。六生犯戒緣。七增世俗話。

Furthermore, the Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya states: Lighting a fire to warm oneself brings seven disadvantages: first, it ruins the eyes; second, it ruins the complexion; third, the body becomes emaciated; fourth, robes become soiled and ruined; fifth, bedding is ruined; sixth, it generates conditions for breaking the precepts; seventh, it increases worldly talk.
