First, abandoning evil matters; second, being able to perform good deeds; third, abiding in the Dharma of good persons; fourth, purifying buddha lands; fifth, progressing toward the bodhimaṇḍa; sixth, giving up what one loves; seventh, subduing afflictions; eighth, bestowing shares of merit upon all sentient beings; ninth, cultivating a mind of loving-kindness toward all sentient beings; tenth, seeing the Dharma and attaining joy.'
