14.44

又智度論云。菩薩觀欲種種不淨。於諸衰中女衰最重。火刀雷電。礔礰怨家。毒蛇之屬。猶可暫近。女人慳妬。瞋諂妖穢。鬪諍貪嫉。不可親近。故佛說偈云。

Furthermore, the Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa says: “The bodhisattva contemplates the various impurities of desire. Among all forms of ruin, the ruin wrought by women is the gravest. Fire, knives, thunder and lightning, thunderbolts, deadly enemies, and species of venomous serpents may still be temporarily approached; but women, with their stinginess, jealousy, anger, flattery, sorcery, filth, quarrelsome nature, and greed, must not be approached.” Therefore the Buddha spoke a verse, saying:
