復何因緣。名奔荼梨地獄。此諸眾生。地獄之中猛火焰色。如奔茶梨迦華。是故名為奔荼梨迦地獄。
Again, by what cause and condition is it called the Puṇḍarīka Hell? The color of the fierce flames in this hell of these sentient beings is like the puṇḍarīkā flower; it is therefore called the Puṇḍarīka Hell.
