又四分律云。時諸比丘自作伎若吹貝供養。佛言。不應爾。彼畏慎。不敢令白衣作伎供養。佛言聽。

Furthermore, the Dharmaguptaka-vinaya states: “At that time, the bhikṣus themselves performed music or blew conch shells as an offering. The Buddha said: ‘It should not be so.’ They, out of fearful caution, did not dare to let white-robed laity perform music as an offering. The Buddha said: ‘I permit it.’”
