If a bodhisattva sees face-to-face the Buddha's body and caityas and makes offerings, this is called offerings in presence. If a bodhisattva makes offerings in presence to the Tathāgata and caityas, accompanied by a mind of aspiration and accompanied by a mind of joy—just as to one Tathāgata, so too to those of the three times; and makes offerings in presence to the caityas of the Tathāgata across the three times and ten directions in boundless worlds, whether new or old—this is called the bodhisattva's joint offerings in presence.
