聾者（祿東反左傳云耳不聽五音之和謂之聾杜預曰聾暗也說文聲也）。

The deaf (聾者: the first character is pronounced *lu* + *dong* in fanqie. The *Zuo tradition* states: “When the ear cannot hear the harmony of the five notes, it is called deaf.” Du Yu states: “Deafness means being unhearing and benighted.” The *Shuowen jiezi* states: “Unhearing.”)
