Walls and enclosures (牆壁: the first is *ji[àng]-y[áng]*, explained below in the preface to the Bodhimaṇḍa for the Protection of the State. The second is *b[ìng]-m[ì]*. The *Guangya* says: "A *bi* is an earthen partition." The *Yupian* says: "An inner wall within a chamber." The *Shuowen jiezi* says: "Composed of 土 with 辟 phonetic").
