銅鈸（盤沫反考聲云樂器名也以鑄成二枚形如小瓶葢有鼻手執以二口相摩擊為聲以和樂也說文從金犮聲也經文有從足作跋跋涉字非本字也）。

銅鈸 (盤 + 沫 fanqie. The Kaosheng says: 'The name of a musical instrument. It is cast as two pieces shaped like small bottle lids with loop handles. Held in the hands, their two rims are struck and rubbed against each other to make a sound, thereby harmonizing the music.' The Shuowen says it takes 金 as semantic and 犮 as phonetic. In the scripture text some write it with 足 as 跋, which is the character for travelling on foot (跋涉) and not the original character).
