寬壙（上款桓反說文寬屋大也從宀音綿莧聲也下苦晃反毛詩傳曰壙空也說文大也從土廣聲經文從日誤也）。

Spacious and vast (寬壙: the upper character is ku[ǎn]-huán [fǎn]; the Shuowen says: "寬 means a large room." It takes the roof radical (宀, pronounced mián) and xiàn (莧) phonetic. The lower character is k[ǔ]-huǎng [fǎn]; the Mao commentary on the Shijing says: "壙 means vast and open." The Shuowen says: "Large." It takes the earth radical (土) and guǎng (廣) phonetic. The sūtra text written with the sun radical (日) is an error).
