傀琦（上古迥反集訓云壯大也桂苑珠叢盛也傀琦者美皃也說文偉也從人鬼省聲也經從玉作瑰非此用也下音奇埤蒼云瑰璋珎琦也古今正字從玉奇聲）。

傀琦 (the first character has the fanqie: 古 + 迥; the Jixun says: "It means strong and large." The Guiyuan zhucong says: "Luxuriant." 傀琦 means a fine, beautiful appearance. The Shuowen says: "It means extraordinary. It is classified under person (人) and takes 鬼 abbreviated as phonetic." In the sūtra it is written with jade (玉) as 瑰, which is not suitable for this use. The second character has the sound 奇; the Picang says: "瑰璋 are precious and extraordinary gems." The Gujin zhengzi classifies it under jade (玉) with 奇 as phonetic).
