一切（說文云一切普也即遍具之義故切字冝從十說文曰十謂數之終也有從七者俗字也）。

All / entire (The *Shuowen* says: "*Yiqie* means universal," that is, the meaning of all-inclusive and complete. Therefore, the character 切 should properly be written with 十 [ten]. The *Shuowen* says: "十 refers to the culmination of numbers." Those written with 七 [seven] are vulgar characters).
