A pinch beyond (the former [character 升] is pronounced sheng; for the latter [character 撮], zu + mo fan; Ying Shao's commentary on the *Hanshu* says: "Four *gui* make one *cuo*; it also means taking with three fingers"; the *Gujin zhengzi* writes it with 'hand' (手) and zui (最) as phonetic).
