廉儉（上力兼反廣雅廉清也𦒱聲不貪也集訓云廉隅也隅為方角也從广兼聲下渠儼反顧野王曰儉約也廣雅少也從人僉聲也）。

Incorruptible and frugal (the upper character is pronounced 力 + 兼 fanqie. The Guangya says: “'Lian' (廉) means pure.” The Kaosheng says: “It means non-covetous.” The Jixun says: “'Lian' means a corner; corners are square angles.” It derives from the shelter radical [广] with '兼' as phonetic. The lower character is pronounced 渠 + 儼 fanqie. Gu Yewang says: “'Jian' (儉) means restrained.” The Guangya says: “It means scarce.” It derives from the person radical with '僉' as phonetic.)
