跛蹇（上波果反下建偃反考聲云跛亦蹇也說文跛行不正也蹇亦跛也並作足波寒皆省聲也）。

[Lame and crippled] (The first character has the fanqie of 波 [p-] and 果 [-uâ]; the second character has the fanqie of 建 [k-] and 偃 [-iɐn]: the *Kaosheng* says, "'Bǒ' (跛) also means 'jiǎn' (蹇)." The *Shuowen jiezi* says, "'Bǒ' means walking unevenly; 'jiǎn' also means lame." Both are formed with the "foot" (足) radical, with 'bō' (波) and 'hán' (寒) as abbreviated phonetics).
