劇苦（上競逆反顧野王劇甚也謂更甚於前也蒼頡篇云病篤也又云增甚也古今正字從刀豦聲也）。

劇苦 (upper: *kjaeng* + *ngjaek* [jù]: Gu Yewang says: '劇 means extreme, meaning even worse than before.' The *Cang Jie pian* says: 'An illness becoming severe; it also means to increase and intensify.' The *Gujin zhengzi* says: 'Follows the knife radical with the phonetic *jù* (豦)').
