繪飾（上迴外反孔注尚書云繪者會五綵繡也鄭注論語云繪畫文也說文從糸會聲經從貴作繢音逵位反織餘𮈔也非經義也下昇織反考聲云裝飾也文字典說云修飾也從飤巾聲飤音似也）。

繪飾 (painted decoration; the first character is 迴外反; Kong [Anguo's] commentary on the Classic of Documents states that 繪 means embroidering with the five colours joined together; Zheng [Xuan's] commentary on the Analects states that 繪 means painted patterns; the Shuowen jiezi states that it takes the 'silk' (糸) radical with 會 as phonetic; the sutra writing it with 貴 as 繢 is pronounced 逵位反, meaning leftover woven fabric, which is not the meaning of the sutra; the second character is 昇織反; the Kaosheng states that it means decoration; the Wenzidian shuo states that it means ornamentation; it takes the 'towel' (巾) radical with 飤 as phonetic; 飤 is pronounced 似).
