盲眇（上莫耕反說文目無眸子曰盲從目亡聲眸音牟下綿小反周易曰眇能視不足以與明也說文目小也從目少聲也）。

盲眇 (blind and one-eyed; the first character is 莫耕反; the Shuowen jiezi states that having no pupils in the eyes is called 盲; it takes the 'eye' (目) radical with 亡 as phonetic; 眸 is pronounced 牟; the second character is 綿小反; the Book of Changes states, 'One who is one-eyed (眇) can still see, but not enough for clear vision'; the Shuowen jiezi states that it means small eyes; it takes the 'eye' (目) radical with 少 as phonetic).
