寶塹（七艷反說文塹坑也從土斬聲也考聲長坑也韻英小坑也玉篇云城池為壍或作漸）。

寶塹 [jeweled moats] (The second character has the fanqie [七+艷] qiàn. The Shuowen says: qiàn is a trench; it is composed of 'earth' with zhǎn phonetic. The Kaosheng says: a long trench. The Yunying says: a small trench. The Yupian says: city moats are called qiàn; it is also written as 漸).
